Sports Played or Coached: Basketball player
University of Windsor Sports Accomplishments: Scored 1,000 points in
3 years (1957-1960). Established records of 26 free throws in 28 tries, and most points in one game (44). Conference scoring
leader in 1958-59 season.
Province or League Accomplishments: O.Q.A.A. champs in 1958-1959. Two time all-city basketball player with Walkerville in 1955 and 1956. Played
for five other basketball teams from 1961 to 1970, winning various championships.
National
or International Accomplishments: Played on the Canadian National Basketball Team at
the Pan Am Games in 1967. Played on the Vancouver IGA team winning the 1967, 68 & 69 Canadian Senior Mens Basketball
Championships. The team was inducted into the B.C. Hall of Fame in 1997.
Other Accomplishments: Former head basketball coach at the University of Regina (1970-80), taught tennis at the University of
Regina from 1970 to 1993. Assistant basketball coach at Simon Fraser University in B.C. Participated on the Canadian Tennis
Team in the 60 age category in Spain (1999) and in Australia (2000) 2003 Ontario Provincial Tennis Champion (65 men's). Professor
Emeritus at University of Regina (research related to International Sport Development)
